Emergency Vehicles, You And Others.
Think! Safety First
Think! Safety First
I’m Just Saying...
Last night I was on my way home, I was stopped at a stop light. Emergency vehicles were coming toward me, sirens blaring. All the traffic was stopped (as the light was just changing to allow the next wave of traffic to go). The vehicles in front of fire truck and aid car pulled over to allow them to pass (THINK! SAFETY). The cross traffic was on hold, waiting for the light to change, so they could go. You would think, that seeing the emergency vehicles coming, the waiting cars at the light would let them pass even if the light changed (THINK! SAFETY), well, that did not happen.
It so amazed me (not that I haven’t seen it happen before, but it always confounds me), that when light changed (with the emergency vehicles just moments from the intersection), a this stupid *#%!*# pulled out right in front of them. Almost creating an accident.
What were they thinking? I don’t get it. I’m just saying...what if that fire engine was racing to their house to put out a fire, or the aid car traveling with it, was going to resuscitate someone at their home. What if, that one act of impatience to get in front of the fire engine could cost a life, a home, a lively hood. What if it was someone in their home that needed the help?
Think about this. Your lack of response to move to the side and allow the emergency vehicles to pass could cost a life. That someone could be you who is waiting for the help, or someone you care about. Karma.
Just get the #*!#!** out of the way. (THINK! SAFETY.) The life, livelihood, or home, that is lost or damaged could be yours. What goes around, comes around.
And for the tailgater's out there, and those of us to wonder what they are thinking, this one is for you. I designed this bumper sticker because tailgating is dangerous.
Remember safety first. That extra minute you gain may not be worth the cost.
